Evaluation of Surgical and Systemic Treatment Results in Patients with Ductal Carcinoma In Situ

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the surgical method and systemic treatment results, recurrence, mortality rates in patients whose histopathological results were ductal carcinoma situ (DCIS) following breast surgery our general clinic. Methods: A retrospective review made preoperative postoperative all who underwent clinic between January 2016 2021. demographic data, clinicopathological features, treatments, local recurrence (LR) rate, overall survival (OS) rate reported as DCIS obtained from data system hospital national death reporting system. Results: group consisted 24 female with a histopathology result DCIS. average age 49.96 ± 10.61 years. In localization lesions breast, 11 (45.8%) observed unifocal, 7 (29.2%) multifocal, 6 (25%) multicentric. most common type operation lumpectomy (n = 16, 66.7%). Sentinel lymph node biopsy performed 8 patients. mean follow-up period after 32.20 18.22 months. Anti-estrogen hormone therapy (HT) applied 21 (87.5%) radiotherapy (RT) 14 (58.3%) operation. There no any observed. Conclusion: With multidisciplinary approach good staging, clinic, it can be recommended that appropriate is applied, risk factors determined for RT eligible BCS HT estrogen receptor+
